Join us on April 18th as we discuss this month's book club pick, Under Pressure by Lisa Damour. In today's anxiety-riddled world, this serves as a thorough and informative guide for raising girls into strong, independent women.

Damour addresses the facts about psychological pressure facing young people. She explains the surprising and under-appreciated value of stress and anxiety: that stress can helpfully stretch us beyond our comfort zones, and anxiety can play a key role in keeping girls safe. When we emphasize the benefits of stress and anxiety, we can help our daughters take them in stride. As readers move through the layers of girls’ lives, they’ll learn about the critical steps that adults can take to shield their daughters from the toxic pressures to which our culture—including we, as parents—subjects girls.

Please note that this is a free, members-only event! As always, this is the book club where the reading is optional, and connections are the priority. Register here
