NAWBO Richmond's Programming and Events Committee assists with the creation and hosting of chapter events designed to deliver valuable information and strengthen relationships among our group of business owners. This includes planning of professional development speaking events and chapter socials. We need several volunteers for this committee who are organized and creative planners! If you are interested in serving on this committee, click on the link below.

Meet the Committee!

Nakia Whittaker-Woody serves as our Programs Committee Chair. She is the founder of KISS Virtual Services, a virtual administrative services company that offers the additional support businesses need to be more productive, efficient, and most importantly, successful!

Nakia began KISS Virtual Services in 2018 when she became an empty nester. Her experience early on in her career as an administrative assistant to three separate corporate vice presidents helped shape who she is as a female entrepreneur today.

In addition to running her business, she also currently works as a Facilities Coordinator. She is a panelist on the podcast Soultiful, and mentors a group of aspiring virtual assistants through a program called Virtual Assistant Sister Learning. In September 2021, Nakia launched an extension of her business, the VA World Conference, an annual event that is catered to women of color who wish to start a small business in the virtual service industry.

Jacqui Schlosser is the owner of By Jacqui Photography! Jacqui became a member of NAWBO Richmond in 2021 and has served as the organization’s in-kind photography sponsor for the past year. Jacqui has worked as a photographer since she was 18. In 2011, she officially began her own company. This pivotal move allowed her to continue to do what she loved, but on her own terms, putting her in control of her schedule and client list. As a Certified Professional Photographer (CCP), Jacqui has over 1,000 Weddings, Mitzvahs, and social events to her credit. She also has branched out into the Corporate, Food, and Boudoir realms in the past 7 years.
