Meet the Host
Níchole Inkel is the owner and head pro of Windy Hill Golf Course. She took over the business in January 2021 and has been expanding it ever since! Níchole is a Class A LPGA teaching professional who has a back ground in Sports Psychology, is certified in TPI, Personal training golf specific, sports nutritionist, flight scope, and SNAG golf. She is a Master Putter instructor, Titleist ball fitter, Director of LPGA USGA Girls Golf and staffed by PING. Before coming back to the Midlothian area, she was an LPGA teaching professional at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale and Director of Junior Golf, Director of LPGA USGA Girls Golf and lead teaching professional at Anthem Country Club in Anthem, AZ.
Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Níchole taught at several courses throughout the city and was the NCAA Head Women’s golf coach at University of Illinois Springfield for 6 years leading the program to unprecedented heights.
Níchole, who is a huge golf advocate, started and helped instruct multiple junior golf camps, clinics, and tournaments over the past 20 years. Her ability to create a vision along with her commitment to the value of golf shows in her involvement with charity events including her own. The H Albert Inkel Memorial Fund was started I 2010 and awards over $5000 in scholarships to local junior golfers each year.
As a player, Níchole has experienced a tremendous amount of success on the links and was a pioneer in the Central Illinois golf community. Along with her outstanding prep career, Níchole holds the women’s course record of 67 at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, IL. 64 in the Springfield Round the Town Tournament at Bergen Golf Course, 66 at Ironwood at Anthem Country Club and 68 at Persimmon at Anthem Country Club from the men’s tees at in Anthem, AZ.
About Windy Hill
Windy Hill Golf Course & Sports Complex was built in 1989 on 30 acres of land at the highest point in Chesterfield County. The facility began with a driving range, batting cages, and miniature golf, which are still here today! Over the years, the property has expanded to 150 acres and includes a regulation 9-hole golf course, as well as a lighted Par 3 course. Additionally, there is a quarter-mile Go-Kart track for the enjoyment of both adults and youth.
Windy Hill’s staff of PGA/LPGA teaching professionals offer golf instruction year-round, and are proudly involved in Special Olympics. They are also huge supporters of junior golf.
