Developing a diverse workforce isn’t just a nice thing to do anymore, it’s an essential business practice. Businesses that focus on both diversity and inclusion observe increased levels of engagement and belonging  and a competitive business advantage.

In principle and in practice, NAWBO Richmond is dedicated to the expansion of leadership and learning opportunities on the DEI topic, and the creation of a place of belonging for business owners of all backgrounds, experiences, industries, and skillsets.

Dr. Marcelle Davis has observed that while businesses understand and agree that diversity is an area of importance and focus – they are challenged when it comes to weaving inclusion into their policies and practices. As the founder of G.R.A.C.E.- a tool she developed, she helps leaders move past their challenges to successfully foster inclusive workplaces and teams.

In this presentation, Dr. Davis will explain why businesses of all types and sizes struggle with inclusion, plus the competencies of an inclusive leader, the G.R.A.C.E. tool and how to apply it in your company.
